J.C. College of Law, Bahadurgarh, in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jhajjar, organized a Legal Aid and Awareness Camp in Desalur village to address the growing concerns of cybercrime in the digital age.
The primary objective of the campaign was to create awareness among the general public regarding various forms of digital fraud, including online scams, fake calls, OTP fraud, UPI fraud, and other cyber offences. The initiative also aimed to equip citizens with essential legal knowledge and preventive measures to safeguard themselves against such crimes.
The program was conducted under the able guidance of Dr. Monika Rastogi, Director, and Dr. Shalini Tyagi, Academic Director. On this occasion, expert advocate Mr. Manoj Kumar along with faculty members Dr. Amit Kumar, Mr. Deepak Lamba, Mr. Kapil Dev, Mr. Bharat Arora, and Mr. Anklesh Kumar shared valuable insights on cyber safety.
The speakers emphasized that individuals should never share their OTP, PIN, or passwords with anyone under any circumstances. They also advised participants to avoid clicking on suspicious links and to remain cautious of unknown calls and messages.
Further, participants were informed that in case of any cyber fraud, they should immediately contact the National Cyber Crime Helpline (1930) and lodge a complaint through the official portal: www.cybercrime.gov.in.
The program was successfully conducted under the guidance of Sarpanch Mr. Naveen June and under the leadership of Chairman Mr. Ravi Sharma and Mr. Uday Sharma. The session concluded with a strong message encouraging everyone to stay vigilant while using digital platforms.
